Upset Forging Machines of two different sizes are utilized to manufacture parts in a variety of head sizes, O.A.L., and materials. Upset heads on shafts up to 12 ft. long have been produced. Our Hill Acme Upset Forging Machine was installed in 1997.
Induction heating is available on all forging units for improved quality and efficiency. Gas fired forging furnaces are also available, increasing flexibility and capabilities. A rapid infrared superheating furnace allows superior metallurgical properties in the production of aluminum forgings.

Aluminum Hot Forging
Queen City Forging applies rapid Infrared heating to aluminum hot forgings with enhanced physical properties: improved fatigue life, fine grain aluminum metallurgy, and increased hardenability. Queen City Forging uses IR heating technology to reduce energy consumption and lower costs.
Rapid Infrared (RI) heating has been proven to reduce the heating times by an order of magnitude, decrease energy consumption by factor of three and produce forgings with enhanced metallurgical and mechanical properties.
