
Industrial Forging Processes Used By Queen CityUsing hammer forging, press forging, and upset forging equipment, Queen City Forging is a specialty job shop producing forged component parts for original equipment manufacturers (OEM). Forgings are typically called impression die forgings, closed die forgings, or drop forgings. Queen City Forge provides forged, finished parts of less than 10 pounds (4.5 Kg) in weight. Forged parts of up to 40 pounds (18 Kg) are produced as open die forgings in our blacksmithing and toolsmithing department. Industrial Forging Materials Used By Queen CityMaterials used in industrial forging includes all types of steel, including alloy and stainless steels, aluminum alloys, copper based metals such as brass and bronze, and high temp nickel based alloys. Industrial forged finished component parts are produced for customers by adding machining operations and surface treatments such as polishing and plating.
