Queen City Forging President, Rob Mayer was recently appointed as a permanent member of the Forging Defense Manufacturing Consortium (FDMC) Executive Advisory Board. Mr. Mayer was invited to serve in this permanent FDMC role after filling a temporary vacancy representing the Forging Industry Association (FIA) on the board.

Having led a highly-regarded forging company and leading innovator for over 20 years, Mr. Mayer brings significant process knowledge and experience to the FDMC board. “Rob’s past involvement with research and development of new forging processes makes him an ideal fit for our agenda,” noted FDMC Program Manager Chris Bergner. “His presence on the board will further our focus on improving the quality, productivity and technology of the US forging industry.”
